Live Elections Podcast: Donald Trump Steals The Show

Welcome to the FiveThirtyEight elections podcast’s first live show! After Donald Trump emerged as the last Republican contender standing Wednesday, the team threw out the planned script and took a hard look at what is happening in the Republican Party. The crew also officially kicked off Veepstakes 2016, speculating over whom Trump and Hillary Clinton might pick as running mates. Plus, Nate Silver and Harry Enten faced off in a match of wonky elections trivia. (Here are the extra questions we didn’t get to during the show.) A live audience joined the fun Wednesday evening at the Sixth & I synagogue in Washington, D.C.
